Dino Morea's home in Bandra, Mumbai is called 'Casamorea' and is an old Portuguese bungalow. A tiled and gabled roof forms the upper half of a wrap-around veranda, led to by a balcao—a quintessentially Portuguese architectural element that comprises a porch-like outdoor area with seating. The abundance of trees and climbers makes it evident that Morea enjoys being surrounded by nature; and values his privacy, too. Morea credits fashion designer Nandita Mahtani for transforming the heritage property into a chic pad. Mahtani's minimalist aesthetic is evident in the way the house has taken shape. It's been stripped off the bric-a-brac and, instead, embraces a calm and relaxed vibe.

Dino Morea's House in Mumbai | Modern Upgrade

While the house retains its old-world charm, the modern update includes creamy white walls complemented by wooden beam ceilings. The white window shutter, metal chairs, and art transform this bungalow into a modern hermitage. The chandeliers are a great addition, too. The interiors inspire a way of life—relaxed and tranquil—that is hard to come by in Mumbai.
