But fashion designer Gazal Gupta is taking a slightly different approach with her new bridal wear boutique in Mehrauli, New Delhi. Instead of gilded decor and grand chandeliers, the bridalwear boutique channels 'eco-chic' as an aesthetic and carves its own little green-themed oasis that charms with its quiet eloquence. Gazal Gupta Goes Green in Delhi
In order to retain the two trees within Gazal Gupta's bridalwear boutique, interior designer Shabnam Singh of interior design firm Project Co planned the layout in a way that would make the greenery a natural extension of the interior and exterior spaces. Besides the trees that have dictated the layout of the store—with a compact courtyard—plants, planters and garden accessories can be spotted in clusters throughout the bridalwear store. The vivid greens and earthy browns make for a natural palette upon which the lehengas and sarees can be spotted. Project Plant—a branch of Project Co that caters to all things green — has supplied this bridalwear boutique with its healthy, well-kept greenery.
Eco-Chic Store in Delhi

These elements elevate the rustic, old-world vibe of the Gazal Gupta store—a suitable alliance considering the designer's collections are equally thoughtful. The huge windows allow natural light from the courtyard to fill up the store. The simplistic concrete walls, flooring and ceiling don't take away the spotlight from the bridalwear. Brass, vintage-shaped lights in warm yellow are minor additions to the design, but they go a long way in completing the lush and earthy vibe of the boutique. Fondly referred to as the "eco-chic" store, the theme of this bridalwear store is defined by its love for nature!
